In: The Educator CEL For teachers review teaching techniques> class organization> worktop teaching techniques> tools July 1962 A LARGE ENTERPRISE COOPERATIVE why we must have the active and immediate cooperation of hundreds of comrades I just Library completed a number of Modern School devoted to the work plans that will appear before the holiday. Putting the theoretical and technical point that I had to make for this work is the result of twenty years of trial and error and experience, instead this technique at the center of our teaching.
It is made possible by this new instrument that represent our unique 530 numbers of the Library of Labor and our 110 Supplements B.T. There still lacked a complementary piece guides-sheets. We’re achieving for the next edition. Now, we may not draw the tenth of this immense wealth because we have not developed the technique that will make the current job, as are textbooks in traditional pedagogy.
This technical job, the work plan. Only until now, every teacher must make himself the focus of which we gave him the items. In practice, for lack of a technique developed, few comrades who really employed work plans in their class, or they used it incidentally.
So was this novelty as the first cars: essential principles were known and not so much changed since, but the mechanics was still embryonic, and it could only engage the excellent mechanics, others continued to roll charabancs. The mechanics was perfected and became accessible to all users. We did not have to order the destruction of charabancs.
All self Started world. If our technical work plans is sufficiently developed and convenient for all, as it will triumph. What do we need to succeed? It must, on Monday morning, we are able to write on the individual work plans of study subjects corresponding to the life of our class in the programs and the life of the community. And – and this is the tricky novelty – he must not think we fill in the blanks of our plans by traditional exercises, homework and lessons to study.
The plan should not be a straitjacket, but an instrument of liberation. The development of our plans require a radical reconsideration of the meaning of our work, which must meet our requirements, interest us and excite us. We are able to achieve this breakthrough.
We already have hundreds of sheets, duly controlled by peers in their classes. The collection of our Educators brings us hundreds too. But all that need be, in a special form, really within reach. We will try to provide it.
We will, for the four key disciplines: History, Geography, Science, Computation, consider the exact program for the next school year. For history for example, it will be next year, the period from antiquity to the French Revolution, for which we already have all the guidebooks of Deleam. But we will go further in the preparation.
